CP Group Seeks Support to Promote Clean Energy and Strengthen Cambodia's agro-food

Kandal: CP Group and Soma Group seek and support the Cambodian government in promoting clean energy development and strengthening the integrated agro-food value chain in Cambodia.

This is according to the meeting between PM Hun Sen and the Senior Chairman of Charoen Pokphand Group (CP) Mr. Thanin on the morning of December 17 at the PM residence in Takhmao City, Kandal Province.

During the courtesy call, Mr. Thanin informed PM about the goals of his company and Soma Group on clean energy production, with the aim of promoting Cambodia's goal of carbon neutrality and energy security.

Mr. Thanin said that CP Group will look for opportunities for other hydropower and clean energy projects in Cambodia. In the field of integrated agro-food business, CP Group is committed to improving the value of the animal feed, farm and food sectors in the Kingdom of Cambodia by sharing skills and creating jobs for the Cambodian people.

To achieve this, the team focuses on improving crop genetics to increase the yield of rice, corn and soybeans, and on processing these crops into high-value consumer products that meet international standards for food quality, safety and quality.

The Prime Minister praised the investment direction of CP Group and Soma Group on clean energy in Cambodia. He requested the two companies to work with relevant institutions of Cambodia to study the production of clean energy in Cambodia to run successfully and achieve high results.
